Example
This post is an example of how I would use this blog for an example assignment of an online blog gallery.
There are two ways of approaching this: 1) to put up my own gallery in the post itself for the purpose of parents retrieving pictures of their student's work or for students to go online, view the gallery, and complete an assignment or discussion based off of it, and 2) for an assignment to be students creating their own gallery by posting comments with their feedback to an assignment or discussion.
Click More to see examples of posts for each purpose.
1a) Hey parents! The midterm project for second period ceramics is complete and graded and it looks wonderful. If you want to retrieve pictures of your child's work, go to (insert photo site link here) and download them.
1b) Welcome, third period needle arts class! This post is an online gallery of needle art activist's work who use their needle arts as a platform for social change. After reading the article by Springgay (2010), look through the images and post a comment with a short paragraph detailing what you thought the gallery would be like, and how the reading changed your perspective.
2) This is the fourth period Art II gallery. In the comments you will find pictures of work the students have found/done to answer the overarching concept as discussed in class of every day experiences becoming art. Students, make sure your images show up in the comment and not as a link. This can be secured by pressing the small button next to link to insert a picture while you're still writing the comment.
